  • Are any meals included?
Our welcome dinner on October 2 and all morning breakfasts will be provided for you. You will make arrangements for other meals.
  • Am I able to bring my children or husband?
If you would like to bring any members of your family, there are many activities near the Inn and Gore Bay, including Bridalveil Falls, Misery Bay Provincial Park, the Gore Bay Bluffs, the Cup & Saucer Trail, and many other options. The Inn's rooms accommodate 2 people. But remember that this retreat is for you, and your time here should not be interrupted by other obligations or even loved ones!
  • Do I need to stay at the Inn at Gore Bay, or can I stay at a different place?
You are welcome to make other arrangements for accommodation if you would like. We will be networking and getting to know each other in between sessions and in the evenings, so please stay close! The retreat fee is required for registration.
  • Should I have a book already in progress?
We will be helping you with your writing goals no matter what stage you are at in your writing process. If you have an idea, we will start with that. If you have a complete manuscript and are ready to edit, we can also work with you! You can also begin to work with Liisa or Dinah, both book coaches, on book planning in advance of the retreat to make sure your book plan and outline are ready before you arrive. Get in touch if you are interested in this option.
  • I have special dietary needs. Will you be able to accommodate me?
Yes. When you register there will be a survey. Please let us know about any dietary needs or restrictions you have and we will take care of you.
